Exercise BERSAMA WARRIOR Opening Ceremony
KUALA LUMPUR, March 11, 2020 - Exercise BERSAMA WARRIOR Opening Ceremony (BW20) was officiated by Maj Gen Abd Malik bin Jiran, Chief of Staff, Joint Force Headquarters (JF HQ). Also present were Malaysian 12th Brigade Commander, BG Datuk Marzuki bin Hj Mokhtar, Senior MAF Officers and the United States delegation led by Maj Gen James B. Jarrard, Commanding General of the 25th Infantry Division and the Senior Commander of the United States Army Hawaii.
The BW 20 exercise is a bilateral exercise involving the MAF and the United States Indo Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) held annually since 2014. BW 20 will be held at the Military Warfare Simulation Center (PSOP) and the Kuala Lumpur MAF Officer Complex from 11 - 20 March 2020.
Counter Terrorism (CT), Maritime Security (MARSEC), Humanitarian Asistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) and Cyber Security concepts are being implemented through STAFFEX involving both countries.
This afternoon, an 'Ice Breaker' session was held where MAF and USINDOPACOM participants had the opportunity to meet and exchange views.
KUALA LUMPUR, 11 Mac 2020 – Majlis Perasmian Eksesais BERSAMA WARRIOR (BW20) telah disempurnakan oleh Mej Jen Abd Malik bin Jiran, Ketua Staf Markas Angkatan Bersama (MK AB) di Foyer Dewan Perkasa, Wisma Perwira ATM, Kuala Lumpur. Turut hadir adalah Panglima Briged ke-12 Infantri Malaysia, Brig Jen Datuk Marzuki bin Hj Mokhtar, Pegawai Kanan ATM serta delegasi Amerika Syarikat yang diketuai oleh Maj Gen James B. Jarrard, Commanding General of 25th Infantry Division and the Senior Commander of United States Army Hawaii.
Eksesais BW 20 merupakan eksesais dua hala melibatkan ATM dan United States Indo Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) yang diadakan secara tahunan sejak tahun 2014. Eksesais BW 20 bakal berlangsung di Pusat Simulasi Olah Perang (PSOP) dan Wisma Perwira ATM Kuala Lumpur mulai 11 hingga 20 Mac 20.
Eksesais berkonsepkan Counter Terrorism (CT), Maritime Security (MARSEC), Humanitarian Asistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) dan Cyber Security ini dilaksanakan secara STAFFEX melibatkan kedua-dua negara.
Di sebelah petang pula sesi ‘Ice Breaker’ telah diadakan dimana peserta ATM dan USINDOPACOM berkesempatan beramah mesra dan bertukar-tukar pandangan. Majlis turut diserikan dengan persembahan oleh Badan Kesenian Tentera Darat (BKTD).
