Improving Warfare Expertise and Asset Management in RMN


KUALA LUMPUR, Apr 28 - Navy Chief Admiral Tan Sri Mohd Reza Mohd Sany said the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) is committed to producing competent Navy People.





According to Mohd Reza, in addition to enhancing its asset and infrastructure development capabilities, the RMN is currently developing a Class Management Project to focus the expertise of the Navy People on 5 new classes of vessels.





“The RMN believes that with the creation of this project, the Navy people will become more skilled and competent especially in the management of their respective classes of vessels,





"The pilot course for the Patrol Vessel and Littoral Mission Ship (LMS) classes will be implemented in 2021," he said in a statement on the 86th RMN Day on Monday.

He added that the RMN also plans to send Navy personnel to study abroad for skills development.





“The RMN is currently working with the Foreign Embassy in Malaysia to expand overseas courses especially specialized courses such as Special Forces, Divers and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Damage Control.

“Countries like Germany, Turkey and South Korea are among the countries that have offered a series of new courses to the RMN,





"This initiative will continue to expand to other countries and is seen as enhancing the opportunities for MTC personnel and staff to attend overseas courses to further enhance the knowledge and skills of the people involved," he said.





At the same time, the RMN is also working with public training centers to further enhance the skills development of its citizens.





“At this point, two training contracts will be implemented, namely Flight Training Contracts with Civil Aviation Training Centers for prospective pilots, RMAF junior pilots and pilot trainers.





"And secondly, is to continue the Technical Induction Application Training Contract for members of the Engineering Branch undergoing training at the public training center to meet the facilities constraints at the RMN Training Center," he said.







He also said that the Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning Program (RPEL) was introduced to recognize the expertise of members from all branches at the national level through strategic cooperation between the NGO and PERHEBAT.





"This program is an initiative to standardize better recognition and enable LLP members to obtain the Malaysian Skills Diploma in preparation before stepping into retirement," he added.





In fact, he said the RMN will continue to strive to ensure that every level of its personnel is provided with a better career path as well as a service improvement scheme that encompasses all employees.





"This initiative is a catalyst for all the Navy People to continue to provide excellent service and to be proud of the organization we love," said Mohd Reza.










TLDM Pertingkat Kepakaran Anggota dalam Ilmu Peperangan dan Pengendalian Aset Baharu





KUALA LUMPUR, 28 Apr – Panglima Tentera Laut, Laksamana Tan Sri Mohd Reza Mohd Sany berkata Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM) komited untuk melahirkan warga the Navy People yang kompeten.





Menurut Mohd Reza, selain meningkatkan keupayaan aset dan pembangunan infrastruktur, TLDM kini sedang membangunkan Projek Class Management bagi memfokuskan kepakaran warga the Navy People mengikut 5 kelas kapal yang baharu.





“TLDM yakin dengan pewujudan projek ini, warga the Navy people akan menjadi lebih mahir dan kompeten khususnya di dalam pengendalian kelas kapal masing-masing,





“Pelaksanaan kursus rintis untuk kelas kapal Patrol Vessel dan Littoral Mission Ship (LMS) akan dilaksanakan pada 2021,” kata beliau dalam perutusan sempena Hari TLDM ke-86 pada Isnin.

Jelas beliau lagi, TLDM juga merancang untuk menghantar warga the Navy People untuk berkursus di luar negara bagi meningkatkan kemahiran.





“TLDM pada ketika ini sedang menjalinkan kerjasama dengan Kedutaan Negara Asing di Malaysia untuk memperluaskan kursus-kursus di luar negara terutamanya kursus kepakaran khusus seperti Pasukan Khas, Penyelam dan Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Damage Control,





“Negara seperti Jerman, Turki dan Korea Selatan merupakan antara negara yang telah menawarkan beberapa siri kursus baharu kepada TLDM,





“Inisiatif ini akan terus dipergiatkan kepada negara-negara yang lain dan dilihat dapat meningkatkan lagi peluang pegawai dan anggota TLDM untuk menghadiri kursus di luar negara bagi memantapkan lagi pengetahuan serta kemahiran khusus warga yang terlibat,” ujarnya.





Pada masa sama, TLDM turut melaksanakan kerjasama dengan pusat-pusat latihan awam bagi memantapkan lagi pembangunan peningkatan kemahiran warganya.





“Pada ketika ini, dua kontrak latihan bakal dilaksanakan iaitu Kontrak Latihan Penerbangan bersama Pusat Latihan Penerbangan Awam untuk bakal-bakal juruterbang, jurumalim dan jurulatih penerbangan TLDM,





“Dan yang keduanya, adalah meneruskan Kontrak Latihan Aplikasi Induksi Teknisyen bagi anggota dari Cawangan Kejuruteraan menjalani latihan di pusat latihan awam untuk menampung kekangan kemudahan di Pusat Latihan TLDM,” jelasnya.







Beliau juga berkata, Program Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) telah mula diperkenalkan untuk mengiktiraf kepakaran anggota dari semua cawangan di peringkat kebangsaan melalui kerjasama strategik di antara TLDM dan pihak PERHEBAT.





“Program ini adalah inisiatif bagi menyeragamkan pengiktirafan yang lebih tersusun dan melayakkan anggota LLP memperolehi Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia sebagai persediaan sebelum melangkah ke alam persaraan,” tambahnya.





Malah ujarnya, TLDM akan terus berusaha untuk memastikan setiap lapisan warganya diberikan laluan kerjaya yang lebih baik dan juga skim penambahbaikan perkhidmatan yang merangkumi keseluruhan pegawai dan anggota.





“Inisiatif ini adalah sebagai perangsang kepada semua the Navy People untuk terus memberikan perkhidmatan yang lebih cemerlang dan seterusnya membanggakan organisasi yang kita semua sayangi ini,” kata Mohd Reza. – AirTimes
