RMAF Delivers 375 Blood Packs and Clinical Specimens
SUBANG 27 Mar 20: The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) has been enlisted to bring in blood supplies to Sabah and Sarawak.
RMAF said the operation involved the delivery of 375 blood packs weighing 254kg and 1,677kg of clinical specimens supplied by the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH).
The supply is being used by hospitals in Sabah and Sarawak in order to provide care to patients in need. The flight operation involved a C-130H carrier.
“This flight demonstrates the RMAF’s concern and commitment in discharging its social responsibility and demonstrates that the RMAF is always ready to operate its assets when needed,” it said, adding RMAF will continue to provide full support and support to the government including efforts to address the Covid-19 pandemic.
