Mindanao International Monitoring Team 16 Inauguration Ceremony
KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 - The inauguration of the Mindanao International Monitoring Team (IMT M-16) was officiated by the Chief of Defence Forces, General Tan Sri Dato' Sri Hj Affendi bin Buang RMAF at Wisma Perwira MAF. The Chief of Navy, Admiral Tan Sri Mohd Reza bin Mohd Sany and other Service Chiefs were also present to witness the inauguration of the IMT M-16.
The Chief of Defence Forces also completed the ceremony of wearing the IMT M-16 badge and handing over the Jalur Gemilang to the Head of Mission, Major General Datuk Hj Hamdan bin Ismail.
The Monitoring Team comprising five officers of the Malaysian Army, three officers of the Royal Malaysian Navy, three officers of the Royal Malaysian Air Force, two officers of the Royal Malaysian Police and three Administrative and Diplomatic Officers of the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Prime Minister's Department is expected to depart for Manila at the end of March 2021.
Upon arrival in Manila, the IMT M-16 will then undergo mandatory quarantine as stipulated by the Philippine Government for seven days in Manila and another five days in their respective areas of responsibility.
PANGLIMA ANGKATAN TENTERA SEMPURNAKAN PERASMIAN TPA M-16
KUALA LUMPUR, 24 Mac - Telah berlangsung Perasmian Tim Pemantau Antarabangsa Mindanao (TPA M-16) yang disempurnakan oleh Panglima Angkatan Tentera, Jeneral Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hj Affendi bin Buang TUDM bertempat di Wisma Perwira ATM. Panglima Tentera Laut, Laksamana Tan Sri Mohd Reza bin Mohd Sany serta Panglima-panglima Perkhidmatan yang lain turut hadir bagi menyaksikan perasmian TPA M-16 ini.
Panglima Angkatan Tentera turut menyempurnakan acara pemakaian lencana TPA M-16 dan penyerahan Jalur Gemilang kepada Ketua Misi, Mejar Jeneral Datuk Hj Hamdan bin Ismail.
Tim Pemantau yang terdiri daripada lima pegawai Tentera Darat Malaysia, tiga pegawai Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia, tiga pegawai Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia, dua pegawai Polis Diraja Malaysia dan tiga Pegawai Tadbir dan Diplomatik Kementerian Pertahanan, Kementerian Luar Negeri dan Jabatan Perdana Menteri dijangka akan berlepas ke Manila pada hujung Mac 2021.
Setiba di Manila, TPA M-16 kemudiannya akan menjalani kuarantin wajib seperti mana yang ditetapkan oleh Kerajaan Filipina selama tujuh hari di Manila dan lima hari lagi di kawasan tanggungjawab masing-masing.
